The Marine Science Eco-Experience is an education and outreach organization
that strives to teach the public about essential marine science topics that
will enlighten and enrich their time spent in Florida. MSEE is led by a
team of Marine Scientists that spends an hour with resort and hotel guests
sharing the wonders that our ocean and gulf have to offer. We feature
exciting topics with hands on activities, live animal interaction, and
other great visual props pertaining to marine life and conservation. “We
Bring the Ocean to the Guests!”
We are currently looking for exceptional candidates to educate the public
in a casual atmosphere on a variety of topics that specifically pertain to
the Florida Keys’ unique marine environment. Some of these topics include;
Marine Conservation, Sea Turtle Nesting, Importance of Coral Reefs, Marine
Mammals, Invasive Species, Sharks and Rays, and the Importance of Mangroves
and Sea Grass, just to name a few.
The candidates will be working our programs in the lower and middle keys.
Part time schedule varies, but we are focused on staffing our daytime
weekend programs. This is an opportunity to work with other scientists and
gain experience with sampling techniques, identify marine flora and fauna,
and educational outreach. Excellent pay!
*Qualifications*
The candidate should have a strong knowledge of Florida’s marine
environment and should be comfortable public speaking and engaging an
audience. A marine science degree/background is preferred.
